Family Tree Maternity Center

Family Tree Maternity Center

Family Tree Maternity Center, the region’s first freestanding birthing facility, opened in March of this year, located just outside Mount Pleasant city limits. The center is owned and staffed by Jillian Bennett and Stephanie Sell, both Certified Professional Midwives, the only Midwifery credential requiring specific training and knowledge in out-of-hospital birth.

The beautiful new facility is equipped with custom made birthing tubs, homelike furnishings and all the necessary emergency equipment for managing low risk birth. The center offers prenatal visits with no waiting, up to an hour long with plenty of time to address all of your questions and concerns. Women are able to eat, drink and move freely during labor, giving birth in the position they choose, including laboring and giving birth in the water if desired. The care and experience available at the center is unlike any other in the area.

Curious to learn more about community birthing options and the difference the Midwifery Model of Care can make in a woman’s pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience? Come meet the midwives of Family Tree Maternity Center! There will be an Open House held in celebration of the new facility Saturday, May 4 from 12pm-4pm at 5201 S Mission Rd in Mount Pleasant. This will be a free, family-friendly event open to everyone! There will be light refreshments served, and activities for children. If you’re not able to make it out on the fourth, please feel free to contact the center to schedule your own tour and consultation visit at no cost.
